La cita ser\u00e1 a las <strong data-start=\"690\" data-end=\"705\">15:00 horas<\/strong>, en el <strong data-start=\"713\" data-end=\"762\">auditorio del Complejo Cultural Universitario<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"765\" data-end=\"1263\">El tambi\u00e9n director del <strong data-start=\"789\" data-end=\"834\">Laboratorio de Biolog\u00eda Molecular del MRC<\/strong> en Cambridge ha se\u00f1alado que en las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas se ha dado un avance sin precedentes: \u201c<strong data-start=\"926\" data-end=\"1088\">en los \u00faltimos 40 o 50 a\u00f1os estamos comprendiendo realmente las bases del envejecimiento y la muerte. Y eso sienta las bases para poder hacer algo al respecto<\/strong>\u201d. Su visita representa una oportunidad para que estudiantes, acad\u00e9micos y p\u00fablico general dialoguen con uno de los cient\u00edficos que ha marcado el rumbo de la biolog\u00eda moderna.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1265\" data-end=\"1683\">Aunque doctorado en F\u00edsica, Ramakrishnan ha construido una trayectoria excepcional en la <strong data-start=\"1354\" data-end=\"1378\">Biolog\u00eda estructural<\/strong>, con pasos por instituciones como la Universidad de Utah y el Laboratorio Nacional de Brookhaven. Entre 2015 y 2020 presidi\u00f3 la <strong data-start=\"1507\" data-end=\"1524\">Royal Society<\/strong>, adem\u00e1s de ser miembro de la <strong data-start=\"1554\" data-end=\"1605\">Academia Nacional de Ciencias de Estados Unidos<\/strong>, reconocimientos que consolidan su influencia en el \u00e1mbito cient\u00edfico global.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1685\" data-end=\"2019\">En 2009 recibi\u00f3 el <strong data-start=\"1704\" data-end=\"1731\">Premio Nobel de Qu\u00edmica<\/strong>, junto con Thomas A. Steitz y Ada Yonath, por sus investigaciones sobre el <strong data-start=\"1807\" data-end=\"1819\">ribosoma<\/strong>, una de las estructuras m\u00e1s esenciales dentro de la c\u00e9lula. Como ha explicado, \u201c<strong data-start=\"1900\" data-end=\"1978\">los ribosomas ayudan a que los amino\u00e1cidos se junten para formar prote\u00ednas<\/strong>\u201d, un proceso que sostiene la vida misma.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2021\" data-end=\"2348\">Adem\u00e1s de su aporte cient\u00edfico, Ramakrishnan es autor de obras como <em data-start=\"2089\" data-end=\"2162\">La m\u00e1quina gen\u00e9tica: la carrera por descifrar los secretos del ribosoma<\/em> y <em data-start=\"2165\" data-end=\"2252\">Por qu\u00e9 morimos: la nueva ciencia del envejecimiento y la b\u00fasqueda de la inmortalidad<\/em>, textos que conectan la ciencia de frontera con preguntas profundas sobre la existencia humana.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2350\" data-end=\"2485\">Con su visita, la BUAP se convierte
