The highest number of deceases is in New York<\/strong> with 258 <\/strong>cases; Illinois<\/strong>, 13<\/strong>; California<\/strong>, 9; Colorado<\/strong>, 9; New Jersey<\/strong>, 4; Wisconsin<\/strong>, 5; Pennsylvania<\/strong>, 4; Georgia<\/strong>, 2; Washington,<\/strong> 2; Michigan,<\/strong> 2, and Indiana<\/strong>, Texas<\/strong>, and Kentucky<\/strong> with one each.<\/p>\n

These figures are collected by the consular network<\/strong> from information provided by Mexican families<\/strong> in the U.S., which is not an obligation to provide, so figures may vary.<\/p>\n

Mexico\u2019s Foreign Affairs Ministry added in a statement that the Mexican consular network<\/strong> is performing different actions to address the needs of co-nationals during this health<\/strong> emergency<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It added that it is giving assistance<\/strong> \u2013 considering the current health measures \u2013 to Mexican people who have contracted the new coronavirus, as well as their families.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe consular network has prepared and disseminated in social media the documents called \u2018Guides for local resources<\/strong>,\u201d that comprise official information about the resources<\/strong> and services<\/strong> (medical, legal, housing, banking, and food orientation, among others) provided by U.S. authorities and organizations for those affected by COVID-19. In many cases, Mexican people who are not legally<\/strong> in the U.S. can also have access to those resources,\u201d it mentioned.<\/p>\n
